PRIVACY POLICY
PRIVACY, BY DESIGN.
How the ARITHYN website handles information and how you can exercise your privacy rights.
Scope and controller
This policy applies to the ARITHYN official website and its project inquiry function, operated by Beijing Arithyn Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. (“Arithyn,” “we,” “us” or “our”). We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
This policy does not apply to third-party websites reached through external links, and it does not replace any project contract, non-disclosure agreement or data processing agreement separately executed by the parties.
Information we process
When you submit a project inquiry, we process the name, email address or telephone number, project type, project description and consent state you provide. Company name and budget range are optional. The system also processes the page language with the request. Do not include unrelated sensitive personal information, state secrets, trade secrets or third-party information you are not authorized to provide.
To deliver pages, diagnose faults and prevent abuse, hosting and security infrastructure may process technical logs such as access time, IP address, request path, browser or user agent, and response status. Application-level rate limiting briefly uses a one-way digest of the IP address in process memory and does not store the raw IP in an application database.
Purposes and legal bases
We process inquiry information with your consent, or where necessary to take requested steps before entering into or performing a contract. We use it to understand requirements, assess a potential engagement, respond to you and arrange follow-up communication. We will not use your contact details for marketing without separate notice and an appropriate legal basis.
We process technical logs only as necessary to operate and secure the website, identify abnormal requests, investigate faults and security incidents, and comply with applicable cybersecurity or other legal obligations. We follow the principles of lawfulness, legitimacy, necessity, good faith, purpose limitation and data minimization.
Cookies, local storage and automated decisions
The site uses a necessary cookie named NEXT_LOCALE to remember your language selection. Your light or dark theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage under the key arithyn-theme and is not actively uploaded by the site. You may clear these records in your browser, but language or theme settings may return to their defaults.
The site currently has no advertising, marketing analytics or third-party behavioral tracking integrations, uses no non-essential cookies, and does not make automated decisions based on personal information that materially affect your rights or interests. If this changes, we will update this policy and obtain any authorization required before enabling the relevant feature.
Processors, disclosure and transfer
We may engage hosting, network operations and email providers to process information only as needed to operate the site and deliver inquiries. We restrict their purposes and handling through contracts, security requirements and access controls. We do not sell personal information or disclose it publicly or to unrelated third parties for their own purposes.
If personal information must be transferred due to a merger, division, dissolution or bankruptcy, we will notify you as required and require the recipient to remain bound by this policy and applicable law. We verify the legal basis and limit disclosure when required by lawful process or competent authorities. If information is provided outside its country of origin in the future, we will first meet applicable notice, separate-consent and security requirements.
Retention and deletion
The site does not currently maintain a separate project-inquiry database. After a successful submission, inquiry content is sent to the business mailbox through a server-side email channel. We keep information for the shortest period needed for the purposes above: inquiry information is generally retained until communication, evaluation or engagement handoff is complete, unless a contract, dispute, audit or legal obligation requires longer retention.
Technical logs are rotated or deleted after the shortest period needed for security and legal obligations. When the retention period ends, we delete or anonymize the information. If backups or technical constraints prevent immediate deletion, processing will be limited to storage and necessary protection until the relevant backup is refreshed and removed.
Information security
We use safeguards appropriate to the risk, including access controls, transmission protection, least-privilege access, log review and backup management, and limit inquiry access to people who need it for their duties. No internet environment is completely secure, so please choose carefully what you submit and which contact channel you use.
If a personal information security incident may harm your rights, we will take remedial measures and provide the information required by applicable law, including the nature and possible impact of the incident, measures taken or planned, protective steps you can take and a contact channel. Where individual notice is lawfully impracticable, we will use a reasonable public notice.
Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to be informed, decide, restrict or object to processing; request access, a copy, correction, supplementation or deletion; withdraw consent; and ask us to explain our processing rules. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out before withdrawal.
Email leo.j.kao@arithyn.com with enough information to locate the original inquiry and verify your identity. We will verify identity only as necessary and aim to respond within 15 working days. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain why. You may also complain to the competent personal information protection authority where permitted by law.
Children
This site supports business and professional communications and is not directed to children. A child under 14 should not submit personal information independently; where submission is necessary, a parent or other guardian should read this policy and provide consent.
If we learn that we have processed personal information of a child under 14 without valid guardian consent, we will delete it promptly after verification or take other steps required by law. Guardians may contact us at the email address in this policy.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as website functionality, processing activities or legal requirements change, and will show the latest date on this page. We will provide a prominent notice for material changes to purposes, methods, categories of information or rights procedures, and will obtain renewed consent before processing where required.
For questions about this policy, our processing, or a privacy rights request, contact Beijing Arithyn Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. at leo.j.kao@arithyn.com.
